What’s your most used kitchen devices + least used kitchen equipment(aside from the general pots and pans)?
I noticed ppl. have a collection of things in the kitchen we never use anyway (choppers/food processors, bread makers, special pancake "poppers," rotisserie, george foreman grills…). Was wondering what is bought in abundance for the kitchen but hardly used in your region?
most:microwave
Least:the rest

where can I find a rotisserie bar for a George Foreman rotisserie grill?
it is a "Big George" – model #GR80S; the part is #20897. I have looked at pages and pages of purported sites to no avail
check with youre local department store ( such as Wal-Mart-K-Mart) and see if they might have it. If they dont maybe they could tell you where you could find one.
Have you ever gone to use your George Foreman Grill and accidentally caught the wire and grilled that instead?
There was a blue flash and I need a new Grill.

George Foreman grills. Can you buy the Teflon paint to repaint where paint has burnt off?
OMG appliance paints are for EXTERNAL decorative use only ie the outside of a grill. Anytime ANY appliance or pan has burnt off or scratched Teflon it should be thrown out, as that is dangerous to eat off off and that’s how folks ran into problems with Teflon.
But if you have Teflon wearing off a Foreman grill either you got a bad one, or you have been cleaning it wrong or scratching it using metal not plastic. If you haven’t done anything I’d call the company. If you have get a new one and treat it differently (only use teflon approved sponges with a cleaning side, only use plastic utensils made for cooking etc).
But please don’t even think about doing this…you’ll poison yourself!
Question about George Foreman grills?
Are there any George Foreman grills where you can remove the plates and put them in a dishwasher? If not, what’s the best way to clean them?
This is the biggest flaw in the George Foreman Grills, that you can’t put them in the dishwasher or even remove the plates to scrub them down really good! However, I’ve found just taking a sheet of heavy duty aluminum foil and folding it to cover the plates, spraying with cooking spray & cooking that way works amazing. You still get the convenience and quick cooking time of the grill, but when cleanup comes, you just toss the aluminum foil in the garbage and you’re good to go! Hope this helps
Which George Foreman grills can be used to make pizzas?
stageman…
Please tell me what the model number of your Grill is. Thank you ![]()
I have the one with the interchangeable plates (got it last summer). It has the grilling plate, waffle plates and a flat plate with a raised edge for pizza. It works wonderfully!!!! It was around $129 USA and $140 CND. I never thought much of them before but those interchangeable grills are GREAT!!!! I make everything from hot wings, to ribs to burgers to pizza on mine. And of course waffles almost every Sunday! Great purchase!
Edit – I don’t know the model # but it is the G5 grill and here is a link to George Foremen site showing the grill.

Chef’s Corner: Cuban Sandwich
Cuban or French sub roll
Chef Maurices special dressing (1 ounce Dijon mustard, 1 ounce mayonnaise, 1 ounce grainy mustard, mixed well)
2 slices Swiss cheese
2 ounces sliced ham
2 ounces sliced pork loin
2 ounces sliced salami
2 pickles, sliced flat, lengthwise
Split the roll two-thirds of the way through lengthwise and unfold. Spread Chef Maurices special dressing evenly on both sides of the bread.
One one side of the bread, layer Swiss cheese, ham, pork, salami and pickles. Fold the top of the bread to make a sandwich.
Place the sandwich in a skillet (coated with butter) on medium high heat for about two minutes per side with a weighted sandwich press. You may use a panini press or George Foreman grill. Or completely cover a large can of soup or vegetables with aluminum foil and use that to press the sandwich.

Atkins Diet Recipes: Low Carb Potsticker Patties
This recipe video is featuring my eldest daughter’s favorite low carb meal, Potsticker Patties. It was developed originally from a recipe on Linda’s Low Carb recipe site (http://www.genaw.com/lowcarb/pot_sticker_patties.html), which if you haven’t heard me brag up enough, let me do it again. The annotated recipes are simply the best! Without any further adieu, here’s the recipe:
HEATHER’S POTSTICKER PATTIES
Cabbage Mixture:
1.5 pounds green cabbage
1 small-medium onion, chopped,
2 cloves garlic
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon granular Splenda
2 tablespoons oil
Meat Mixture:
2 pound ground pork
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
2 eggs
5 green onions, minced optional
Dash hot sauce
1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
Shred the cabbage in your food processor. To get really fine shreds, you can add the chopping blade as well. Heat 2 tablespoons oil in a large wok or skillet over medium heat. Add cabbage mixture ingredients to the skillet and fry until the cabbage is wilted, and begins to stick to the bottom of the pan. Remove the mixture from the heat.
Add the meat mixture ingredients in a large bowl. Mix with with the cabbage mixture until well-incorporated. Take 4-5 oz scoops of the mixture, and form rough patties with them. This should make roughly 14 patties. Cook in skillet or George Foreman Grill for about 3-4 minutes per side.
